For this week's video I picked a reflection video from the
point of view of a little girl who had the procedure done. She talks about
wishing she hadn't had it and wished that the girls in the family didn't have
to suffer because of an old outdated tradition. She mentions in the video that
FGMs are a cultural thing in her family that has been going on for generations,
even though now many other natives around don’t partake in making their
daughters get ‘the cut’.
